Know About April 22 As Earth Day

"पृथ्वी दिवस" हर साल 22 अप्रैल को मनाया जाता है, यह दुनिया भर में पर्यावरण संरक्षण के लिए समर्थन प्रदर्शित करने के लिए आयोजित किया जाता है।

पृथ्वी दिवस की स्थापना अमेरिकी सीनेटर जेराल्ड नेल्सन के द्वारा 1970 में एक पर्यावरण शिक्षा के रूप में की गयी और अब इसे 192 से अधिक देशों में हर साल मनाया जाता है। यह तारीख उत्तरी गोलार्द्ध में वसंत और दक्षिणी गोलार्द्ध में शरद का मौसम है।
संयुक्त राष्ट्र में पृथ्वी दिवस को हर साल मार्च एक्विनोक्स (वर्ष का वह समय जब दिन और रात बराबर होते हैं) पर मनाया जाता है, यह अक्सर 20 मार्च होता है, यह एक परम्परा है जिसकी स्थापना शांति कार्यकर्ता जॉन मक्कोनेल के द्वारा की गयी।


22 अप्रैल दिवस का इतिहास.......................
रोन कोब्ब ने एक पारिस्थितिक प्रतीक का निर्माण किया, जिसे बाद में पृथ्वी दिवस के प्रतीक के रूप में अपनाया गया और लोस एंजिल्स फ्री प्रेस में 7 नवम्बर 1969 को प्रकाशित किया गया और फिर इसे सार्वजानिक डोमेन में रखा गया। यह प्रतीक "E" व "O" अक्षरों के संयोजन से बनाया गया था जिन्हें क्रमशः "Environment" व "Organism" शब्दों से लिया गया था। यह थीटा चिन्ह जो इसके समान है, का उपयोग पूरे इतिहास में एक चेतावनी के रूप किया जाता रहा है। लुक मैगजीन ने अपने 21 अप्रैल 1970 के अंक में एक ध्वज में इस प्रतीक को प्रस्तुत किया। इस ध्वज का प्रतिरूप संयुक्त राज्य के ध्वज के प्रतिरूप से लिया गया था और इसमें एक बाद एक तेरह हरी और सफ़ेद पट्टियां थीं। इसका केंटन पारिस्थितिक प्रतीक के साथ हरा था जहां तारे संयुक्त राज्य के ध्वज में थे। विज्ञापन मुद्रण लेखक जुलियन केनिग 1969 में नेल्सन की संगठन समिति में सीनेटर थे और उन्होंने इस घटना को "पृथ्वी दिवस" नाम दिया. इस नए आन्दोलन को मनाने के लिए 22 अप्रैल का दिन चुना गया, जब केनिग का जन्मदिन भी होता है। उन्होंने कहा कि किल "अर्थ डे" "बर्थ डे" के साथ ताल मिलाता है, इसलिए यह विचार उन्हें आसानी से आया।


शुरुआत और जारी विकास:


22 अप्रैल 1970 को पृथ्वी दिवस ने आधुनिक पर्यावरण आंदोलन की शुरुआत को चिन्हित किया। लगभग 20 लाख अमेरिकी लोगों ने, एक स्वस्थ, स्थायी पर्यावरण के लक्ष्य के साथ भाग लिया। 200 मिलियन लोगों का 141 देशों में आगमन और विश्व स्तर पर पर्यावरण के मुद्दों को उठा कर, पृथ्वी दिवस ने 1990 में 22 अप्रैल को पूरी दुनिया में पुनः चक्रीकरण के प्रयासों को उत्साहित किया और रियो डी जेनेरियो में 1992 के संयुक्त राष्ट्र पृथ्वी सम्मलेन के लिए मार्ग बनाया। 2007 का पृथ्वी दिवस अब तक के सबसे बड़े पृथ्वी दिवसों में से एक था, जिसमें अनुमानतः हजारों स्थानों जैसे कीव, युक्रेन; काराकास, वेनेजुएला; तुवालु; मनीला, फिलिपींस; टोगो; मैड्रिड, स्पेन, लन्दन; और न्यूयार्क के करोड़ों लोगों ने हिस्सा लिया। जॉन मैक कोनेल ने 1969 में यूनेस्को (UNESCO) में पर्यावरण पर हो रहे एक सम्मलेन के दौरान पहली बार "पृथ्वी दिवस" नामक एक विश्व अवकाश का विचार पेश किया। "पृथ्वी दिवस पहला पवित्र दिन है जो सभी राष्ट्रीय सीमाओं का पार करता है, फिर भी सभी भौगोलिक सीमाओं को अपने आप में समाये हुए है, सभी पहाड़, महासागर और समय की सीमाएं इसमें शामिल हैं और पूरी दुनिया के लोगों को एक गूंज के द्वारा बांध देता है, यह प्राकृतिक संतुलन को बनाये रखने के लिए समर्पित है, फिर भी पूरे ब्रह्माण्ड में तकनीक, समय मापन और तुंरत संचार को कायम रखता है। पृथ्वी दिवस खगोल शास्त्रीय घटना पर एक नए तरीके से ध्यान केन्द्रित करता है- जो सबसे प्राचीन तरीका भी है- वर्नल इक्विनोक्स का उपयोग करते हुए, जिस समय सूर्य पृथ्वी की भूमध्य रेखा को पार करते हुए पृथ्वी के सभी भागों में दिन और रात की लम्बाई को बराबर कर देता है।
